Ricky Ponting- Special lad from Kangaroo island

Arguably, Ponting was one of the most prolific batsmen after Sir Don Bradman. He not only led Australia to some spectacular glories instead emerged as the greatest man in the business. Initially, though Punter didn't do justice with his talent in
the One day format as he scored only 1 run but grabbed the opportunity of being a Test player with both hands. He scored 96.
Lifting the World cup thrice in his career (once as a team member in 1999 and twice as a captain in 2003 and 2007), Ponting was one of the most sort after batting giant. The great puller of the short balls, Ponting scored 98* on T20 debut which is still a record.
