Cricket and the history behind its evolution

Cricket is considered as one of the oldest games which is played round the globe. There have been various instances which have described the emergence of this game
. Here are some instances of the same. The game is known from the 16th century to the present day, with international matches being played since 1844. Though, the first international match took place in 1877. No one knows when or where cricket began but there is a body of evidence that strongly suggests the game was devised during Saxon or Norman times by children living in the Weald, an area of dense woodlands and clearings in south-east England that lies across Kent and Sussex. Possibly cricket was derived from bowls, by the intervention of a batsman trying to stop the ball from reaching its target by hitting it away. The game originally emerged from “club ball”. Some people believe the game began in Hampshire’s Hembedna region. Some say that its origin took place in Kent and Sussex. The first Test match took place back in 1880 between England and Australia. But the first international match was played in 1844 between Canada and America, 32 years before Test cricket began on the international level. Wisden is regarded as “Bible” of cricket.
